Dynamat Xtreme base layer with Dynaliner second layer installed in a vehicle

Constrained layer damping — the same physics automakers apply robotically on the assembly line. Dynamat brings it to the panels the factory skipped.

Start Here

Two ways in.

I own a vehicle

Quieter, cooler cabin. A stereo that finally sounds right. Dynamat is installed by authorized shops across the territory — tell us your vehicle and your goal, and we'll point you to the right one.

Get Connected to a Shop

I run a shop

Sound treatment is the highest-margin shelf in the store — and Dynamat is the name customers walk in asking for. Below: what to stock, what to sell, and the program that gets you there.

See What to Stock
The Line, Boiled Down

Two layers. That's the whole system.

Dynamat makes a lot of SKUs. You don't need most of them to do 90% of jobs. Every install is a base layer that kills panel vibration, plus a second layer that blocks heat and airborne noise. Stock the pillars, special-order the rest.

Base Layer

Kills Vibration
Dynamat Xtreme product family packaging

Dynamat XtremeStock It

The flagship. 100% butyl core, 4-mil aluminum skin. Doors, floors, trunks, roofs — the first layer on virtually every job. If you stock one thing, it's this.

Dynamat Pro X packaging

Pro XOrder As Needed

Same butyl chemistry, twice as thick, 5-mil aluminum. For SPL builds, big commercial panels, and worst-case resonance.

Dynamat SuperLite packaging

SuperLiteOrder As Needed

30% thinner and lighter. Weight-sensitive builds, aircraft-style jobs, and light-duty panels.

Second Layer

Blocks Heat + Noise
Dynaliner packaging in three thicknesses

DynalinerStock It

Closed-cell foam that layers over Xtreme. Blocks heat, absorbs airborne noise, won't hold water. 1/4″ is the default; 1/8″ and 1/2″ fill the gaps.

Dynapad packaging

DynapadStock It

One-pound-per-square-foot composite barrier for floors and firewalls. The answer to road roar and exhaust drone that damping alone can't fix.

Hoodliner packaging

Hoodliner & DynaDeckOrder As Needed

Hoodliner soaks engine noise under the hood; DynaDeck replaces carpet padding in classics and off-road builds. Attachment sales on resto work.

Complaint → Prescription

What they say. What you sell.

Surgical treatment — the right product on the panel causing the problem, the way OEMs do it on the line. Not a truckload of mat on every surface.

Dynamat Xtreme installed inside a vehicle door with premium speakers

My new speakers sound weak.

An untreated door is a leaky, rattling speaker box. Damping the door skin is the cheapest sound-quality upgrade in the store.

Sell: Pro Speaker Kit — every speaker install

Dynaliner layered over Dynamat Xtreme on a vehicle floor

The highway noise wears me out.

Road noise is structure-borne through the floor. Damp the pan, then barrier it — that's the one-two that customers feel on the drive home.

Sell: Xtreme floor + Dynapad

Dynamat Xtreme installed in a trunk and rear deck

My bass makes the whole car buzz.

Trunk lids and rear decks resonate right in the sub's range. Treat them and the bass tightens up instantly — a demo that sells itself.

Sell: Xtreme trunk kit — every sub install

Dynamat Xtreme installed on a vehicle roof skin

Rain sounds like a drum. The cab bakes.

The roof is the biggest untreated panel in the vehicle and the main solar load. Damp it, then insulate it.

Sell: Xtreme roof + Dynaliner 1/4″

Dynaliner being applied to the back of a plastic trim panel

Something plastic is rattling.

Trim buzz isn't a damping problem — it's contact. A strip of Dynaliner on the back of the panel decouples it for pennies.

Sell: Dynaliner 1/8″ on trim backs

Where does it all go?

Doors, floor, firewall, roof, trunk — every zone has a prescription. Ask us for the treatment map and custom-cut kit list for popular vehicles.

A note to shops

If you're not selling CLD with every speaker install, you're doing your customer a disservice on their audio upgrade. The best speakers in the store can't perform in an untreated door — damping the panel is part of the install, not an add-on. Make it line one on the quote. Dynamat even boxed it for you:

The Speaker Upgrade — One SKU

Dynamat Pro Speaker Kit

  • Treats 2 speakers up to 10″ — one kit per pair of doors
  • (2) 18″×18″ Xtreme sheets — stop inner-door vibration
  • (2) 10″×10″×1″ Back Wave CCF — cut back-wave distortion
  • (4) 32″ Pro Speaker Ring strips — seal the speaker frame

What not to sell

One layer of damper is enough — a second layer of CLD on a treated panel is wasted money. 100% coverage isn't the goal — strategic coverage does the job; that's how OEMs apply it. And wind noise above the door line isn't a damping problem — that's seals and absorption, not more mat. Selling it straight is why customers come back.

Why Butyl Matters Here

Our territory is a torture test.

From the Central Valley to the Nevada high desert, parked interiors bake all summer. Asphalt-based deadening — the core of most bulk import mats — can soften, sag, and stink as temperatures cycle. What looked like a bargain ends up dripping behind a door panel.

Dynamat's 100% butyl core stays put and keeps damping across the full range a parked car actually sees. That's chemistry, not marketing — and in this climate it's the difference that shows up two summers later.

For Shops & Builders

Stock the shelf. Own the category.

Opening order programs sized for how your shop actually works — with dealer discount tiers and freight incentives that reward commitment. Ask us for the current program sheet and we'll build your shelf together.

One Dynamat system job a week is real money. Four a week — one vehicle at a time — is a four-figure monthly line item from a product that takes up one shelf. We'll run the math with your labor rate, not ours.

RPM isn't a catalog and a phone number. We're in the territory, in your store, training the counter and the bay on what to prescribe and why.

Start the Conversation
  • Opening orders tuned to your shop type — 12-volt, resto, marine, upholstery
  • Counter & installer training — the science in plain English
  • Custom-cut kits for popular vehicles — less install time, less guesswork
  • Co-branded marketing, ready to post — we build it, you tag it
  • Factory-direct account setup — we walk you through onboarding
